THE 2ND AFE APCE CONFERENCE HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED
The 2nd joint AFE-APCE Conference was held from 3 to 6 July at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Spanish Trade Fair Association (AFE) and the Spanish Conference Centre Association (APCE), in collaboration with BEC, it was attended by around 240 participants.
The 2nd AFE-APCE Conference, under the slogan “Legacies that transform; Conferences and trade fairs: the impact beyond the event,” brought together representatives from the trade fair sector and conference centres, mainly from Spain, to create synergies, stimulate the strengthening of the industry, and develop strategies to achieve a greater economic impact. The content programme included key topics such as the economic and social impact of MICE, what customers value when choosing a venue or conference centre, Artificial Intelligence, integrated marketing management, talent management and retention, leadership, sustainability, and procurement and contracting as strategic factors.
BIEMH IS ACCREDITED AS A SUSTAINABLE EVENT WITH THE AWARD OF THE ERRONKA GARBIA SEAL
BIEMH, the International Machine Tool Show, has been awarded the Erronka Garbia seal, which accredits it as a sustainable and environmentally friendly event. The certification, awarded by Ihobe-Publicly Owned Environmental Management Company of the Basque Government, thus rewards the efforts made by the organising team of one of Bilbao Exhibition Centre’s most important events.
The audit was carried out during the 32nd edition of the industry event, held from 3 to 7 June, which attracted 1,604 exhibiting firms from 29 countries and 37,614 visitors from 67 countries, generating an impact of more than 66 million euros. These figures underline the value and complexity of certification.
FULL CAPACITY AT SEPA BILBAO, WITH 4,500 PROFESSIONALS AT THE PERIODONTOLOGY AND ORAL HEALTH CONGRESS
The Periodontology and Oral Health Congress, organised by the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration (Sepa), is being held in Euskalduna Bilbao until Saturday, 1 June. It is a benchmark event for international Periodontics and Spanish Dentistry. It will address all clinical and scientific concepts and techniques in Periodontics and Implant Therapy in a very practical way and under the premise of scientific excellence-based clinical evidence. Interdisciplinary treatments, digitalisation and innovation, and dental practice management will also be discussed.
“The full capacity has been reached, with some 4,500 congress participants from fifty countries (48), making it one of the largest scientific meetings organised at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao to date, and, without doubt, the most important international dental congress this year,” says Dr Paula Matesanz, Vice-President of Sepa. Other significant data from the event include the contribution of 215 speakers, with some 70 participating companies, and, at certain times, there will be up to 28 simultaneous rooms with activity.
THE BASQUE COUNTRY WILL ONCE AGAIN HOST THE LARGEST CIRCULAR ECONOMY EVENT IN SOUTHERN EUROPE IN APRIL 2025
The Basque Circular Summit, , the largest circular economy event in Southern Europe, will be held again in 2025. The event will take place on 2, 3, and 4 April 2025 at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao, and will bring together professionals and specialists from the industrial and environmental fields from all over the con tinent to analyse the implications that the transition to a circular model is having on the European Union.
Organised by the Basque Government’s Public Company for Environmental Management, Ihobe, the aim of the event will be to analyse the different challenges and opportunities that the circular conomy offers companies and the entire Basque socio-economic fabric, and to highlight the work that has been carried out making it into an inspiring element for new actions. It will also provide attendees with the ideal setting to discuss business opportunities and improve business competitiveness that this new economic model offers.
