SEMERGEN makes Bilbao the capital of Primary Care
The Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians (SEMERGEN) will be holding the 46th edition of its National Congress in Bilbao from 2 to 5 October at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) under the slogan ‘Training us with enthusiasm’. This event, which will bring together more than 5,000 family doctors from all over Spain, is the largest medical congress event in Spain and is an exceptional opportunity to learn about the latest advances in Primary Care.
With a full scientific programme that includes a variety of conferences, symposia, round tables, seminars, workshops , and skills classrooms, this Congress aims to provide Family and Community Medicine (FCM) professionals and residents with a space for training and updating on the latest scientific and technological developments in the specialty to promote their skills and continuous professional development.
+INDUSTRY EXPANDS ITS SCOPE TO COVER ALL ADVANCED MANUFACTURING SECTORS
The main players in advanced manufacturing will meet from 3 to 5 June 2025 at the 4th edition of +INDUSTRY at Bilbao Exhibition Centre. This global platform, which is notable for its practical character and live demonstrations, is expanding in response to industry developments and welcomes all sectors and visitors working in smart manufacturing. Moreover, the event will include the new weAR automation and robotics fair, a cross-industry event.
Besides this new event, the +INDUSTRY sectoralised route will be completed with the simultaneous holding of already consolidated events such as BeDIGITAL, AdditꜪD, Maintenance, Pumps & Valves, and Subcontracting. Moreover, the WORKinn employment forum will once again address the challenge of finding talent in the industry.
THE 2ND AFE APCE CONFERENCE HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED
The 2nd joint AFE-APCE Conference was held from 3 to 6 July at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Spanish Trade Fair Association (AFE) and the Spanish Conference Centre Association (APCE), in collaboration with BEC, it was attended by around 240 participants.
The 2nd AFE-APCE Conference, under the slogan “Legacies that transform; Conferences and trade fairs: the impact beyond the event,” brought together representatives from the trade fair sector and conference centres, mainly from Spain, to create synergies, stimulate the strengthening of the industry, and develop strategies to achieve a greater economic impact. The content programme included key topics such as the economic and social impact of MICE, what customers value when choosing a venue or conference centre, Artificial Intelligence, integrated marketing management, talent management and retention, leadership, sustainability, and procurement and contracting as strategic factors.
BIEMH IS ACCREDITED AS A SUSTAINABLE EVENT WITH THE AWARD OF THE ERRONKA GARBIA SEAL
BIEMH, the International Machine Tool Show, has been awarded the Erronka Garbia seal, which accredits it as a sustainable and environmentally friendly event. The certification, awarded by Ihobe-Publicly Owned Environmental Management Company of the Basque Government, thus rewards the efforts made by the organising team of one of Bilbao Exhibition Centre’s most important events.
The audit was carried out during the 32nd edition of the industry event, held from 3 to 7 June, which attracted 1,604 exhibiting firms from 29 countries and 37,614 visitors from 67 countries, generating an impact of more than 66 million euros. These figures underline the value and complexity of certification.
