POSITIVE IMPACT AND LEGACY
We work to ensure a positive legacy from the events sector in Bilbao, from an economic, social and environmental point of view. To this end, we work closely with a number of organisations.
BBK KUNA
The “SDG House” in Bilbao is a space for social innovation with the participation of various social actors linked to the Sustainable Development Goals that provide solutions to population ageing, climate change and migration, among other issues. A major forum for discussion and creation, also open to the organisation of events.
THEODORA CHILDREN´S CHARITY
International foundation that strives to humanise the experience of children admitted to hospitals, such as Basurto Hospital in Bilbao. Its corporate volunteer programme offers different forms of collaboration and social activities aimed at events and companies.
BBK KLIMA
40 minutes from the centre of Bilbao and also accessible by train, this large space for living and raising awareness of climate change is located in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Its facilities are spread over 80,000 hectares and, in addition to offering a significant educational proposal for school groups and families, it also includes spaces for events and corporate stays with all services included.
OREKA
This local start-up is determined to combat food waste and bring surplus resources to the most disadvantaged households. It offers technological support to companies to facilitate the donation of their surplus food in a safe and secure way, minimising food waste and accessing CSR benefits.
LANTEGI BATUAK
Association aimed at generating social cohesion in a responsible and inclusive business environment. Through the centres and services present in all the districts, it generates opportunities for work for disabled people in Bizkaia, achieving inclusion, maximum development and a quality of life.
LURGAIA
Foundation whose objective is to provide the necessary tools so that any company of any size and from any sector in the Basque Country has the opportunity to take an active role in the conservation and restoration of our natural environment.
BILBAO BALIOEN HIRIA
Bilbao Balioen Hiria aims to create a space for analysis, dialogue, reflection and collaboration among institutions, social, cultural and sports entities, business, the media, schools and colleges and the general public for the promotion of a framework of shared values in Bilbao.
IMPREDECIBLE BASOA
Social company that works in the environmental field whose goal is to create a permanent native forest in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. This serves to offset the carbon footprint of any event, leaving a positive legacy at the destination while also contributing to improving the biodiversity of this natural setting.
Native species are planted to create a forest, typical of the Cantabrian coast.
FORMARTE
Located in the city centre, this art school for the mentally and intellectually disabled offers interesting possibilities for events professionals, ranging from hand-made and engaging corporate gifts to artistic workshops for attendees and their companions.
