54 TOUR OPERATORS FROM 16 COUNTRIES WILL DISCOVER BILBAO BIZKAIA’S TOURIST ATTRACTIONS BETWEEN TOMORROW AND FRIDAY
From tomorrow and until Friday 29th, a group of 54 tour operators and travel agents from 16 countries will visit the region to find out more about its tourist attractions, going on guided tours and taking part in a workshop with leading stakeholders from the sector in the region to explore paths of collaboration and ways of working together in the short- and medium-term.

Bilbao has been recognised as the eighth best medium-sized city in Europe for attracting direct foreign investment by the fDi Intelligence magazine, owned by the prestigious publishers, Financial Times. The city will receive the award in March at the world’s leading real estate market event, MIPIM, in the French city of Cannes.

BILBAO BIZKAIA PRESENTS NEW TOURISM STRATEGY UP TO 2030 TO WIN BACK VISITORS AND TRANSFORM THE SECTOR IN TERMS OF SUSTAINABILITY
After two tough years of pandemic in which tourism, along with other sectors, was hit hard, Bilbao City Council and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia have worked alongside the sector and local and regional tourism management bodies to set up a new strategy.
This has the priority goal of getting back to the levels prior to the breakout of Covid, when record figures were recorded with excellent perspectives, and sights set on 2030.
