BILBAO ONCE AGAIN TAKES PART AT IMEX FRANKFURT, THE LEADING INTERNATIONAL EVENT IN THE BUSINESS TOURISM SECTOR

Bilbao returns to its agenda of international promotion, following the break due to the pandemic, with its presence at one of the leading fairs in the business tourism sector, IMEX Frankfurt.

Between 31 May and 2 June in the German city, a delegation from Bilbao Convention Bureau will present Bilbao’s potential as a venue for congresses and meetings, accompanied by ten local companies: Palacio Euskalduna, BEC, Ercilla de Bilbao, Melia Bilbao, Romotur, NIS, Hotel Gran Bilbao, Radisson Collection Gran Vía, STI and GoBasquing.

FOOD 4 FUTURE 2022 WILL HAVE AN ECONOMIC IMPACT OF 14 MILLION AND ESTABLISH BILBAO AS THE WORLD FOODTECH CAPITAL

This week Bilbao becomes the world foodtech capital with the celebration of Food 4 Future- Expo FoodTech 2022.

Following the success of the first edition of the international event, conceived by and for professionals from the food and drink industry, from 17 to 19 May, more than 7000 delegates will come together at the event. A forum which will also have an economic impact of 14 million euros for the city, at the same time as placing Euskadi on the map as a foodtech epicentre and reference.

TWELVE REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE MICE SECTOR FROM BELGIUM VISIT BILBAO FROM TODAY UNTIL SUNDAY

From today and until Sunday, twelve representatives from the MICE sector from Belgium will visit Bilbao to learn about its main attractions as a city of reference in the organisation of conferences, conventions and corporate and associative meetings. Capitalising on the reactivation of mobility and the end of restrictions, Bilbao City Council promotes this initiative which seeks to create new business relations between local businesses from the sector and foreign intermediaries.

THE PRESTIGIOUS CONFERENCE ON DESIGN ORGANISED BY THE DESIGN RESEARCH SOCIETY WILL BRING TOGETHER MORE THAN 700 PARTICIPANTS

DRS 2022 Bilbao Conference will bring together more than 700 international references from the design sector in Bilbao from 25 June to 3 July. Bilbao City Council together with the Design Research Society and the UPV/EHU School of Architecture are organising this conference on design research, which will be held in both online and place-based format.

The programme includes three speakers of international relevance, more than 40 workshops, five Labs with challenges for the city and numerous activities with local stakeholders.
