BILBAO HOSTS THE FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON METABOLISM AND CANCER
This scientific event returns to the traditional meeting in Bilbao. The congress, organised by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and coordinated by CIC bioGUNE, has almost a decade of history. It will be held until Thursday at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao and will bring together more than 200 researchers from 25 countries. BILBAO ATTENDS IMEX AMERICA, THE LARGEST TRADE FAIR IN THE UNITED STATES FOR THE BUSINESS MEETINGS TRAVEL INDUSTRY
From today until 14th October, the Bilbao delegation will be presenting the city’s potential as a venue for events, congresses, business meetings and incentive trips, in Las Vegas. From today until 14th October, Bilbao is taking part in IMEX America, the largest trade fair in the US for the business meetings travel industry. A delegation from the Bilbao Convention Bureau, accompanied by local companies, NIS (North Incoming Services) and Hotel Ercilla in Bilbao, will present Bilbao’s potential as a venue for events, conferences, business meetings and incentive trips in Las Vegas.
BILBAO RESUMES ACTIVITY WITH THE FRENCH MARKET, OF PRIORITY FOR THE CITY’S MICE SECTOR
For four days, from 30 June to 3 July, French representatives from the MICE sector visited Bilbao and the surrounding areas with the aim of getting to know different parts of the city, the cuisine and the services available for the organisation of meetings, incentive trips, congresses and events. The group was made up of agents who promote or direct corporate events such as meetings of different types of companies, and representatives from science and technology societies who hold congresses. The importance of this visit stems from the fact that the French market is one of the markets with the greatest impact on Bilbao due to its proximity and a shared liking of haute cuisine, landscapes, culture and quality services.
BILBAO TO BECOME INTERNATIONAL STAGE FOR DESIGN WITH THE HOLDING OF THE DRS CONGRESS
From 25 June to 3 July Bilbao will host the biennial congress DRS2022 of the Design Research Society, the oldest academic society in Europe, committed to the study and research of the design process in its numerous fields.Bilbao City Council and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), through the Higher Technical School of Architecture, are organising this event of global importance, competing alongside some of the best universities in the world.
The jury particularly appreciated the city’s involvement and contribution.Previous editions have been in held in locations including London, Brisbane, Lisbon, Montreal and Bangkok.
